Housing & Community Development Advisory Committee

 

Purpose

The purpose of the HCDAC shall be to ensure that the needs of extremely low to moderate income individuals and families, the elderly, disabled, minority and homeless populations are expressed and adequately reflected in Johnson County’s community development programs, housing programs and other initiatives, and to otherwise facilitate Johnson County’s Housing and Community Development programs. These programs and initiatives shall include the CDBG program, the HOME program, the Johnson County Housing Authority, the Kansas ESG program, county participation in the Johnson County Continuum of Care for the Homeless, and future Housing and Community Development initiatives approved by the BOCC and assigned to the HCDAC. In addition, the HCDAC shall advise the BOCC on planning and policy matters related to these programs and initiatives.
